Qatar-Ghana Urea Project
Ghana’s Ministry of Food and Agriculture has struck a $5 billion agreement with Qatar’s Al Jadad Holdings and Granum Ltd to develop its first large-scale fertilizer production facility at Atuabo.
The project, set to break ground in October 2025, will produce urea and ammonia using excess offshore natural gas from Ghana’s own Atuabo Gas Processing Plant, with commissioning expected in 2028.
