AD Ports secures a 20-year concession for the Port of Luanda

AD ports has secured a 20-year concession for the Port of Luanda, poised to drive a 3% annual growth in container traffic.
The UAE-based port group has inked agreements to acquire 81% and 90% stakes in Angolan companies Unicargas and Multiparques, respectively, as part of the 20-year concession.
This renewable agreement, spanning five years, involves an initial investment of $251 million, extendable to $379 million.The transformation of the existing facility into a modern container and ro-roterminal, slated for completion by Q3 2026, aims to significantly boost container volumes to 350,000 TEUs and ro-ro volumes to over 40,000 vehicles.
