On January 23, 2026, Solevo Senegal inaugurated two major projects that signal the country’s industrial and agricultural direction: stronger local agricultural capacity and more sustainable industrial operations.
The inaugurations brought together senior leaders, including Armel Renaud OUERESSE (General Manager Sahel), Franck C. (Business Line Director Agro), and Ferdinand MOUKO (Group Managing Director), along with partners and key sector stakeholders. The events also featured site visits and exchanges with authorities, supporting dialogue on the long-term impact of these investments for Senegal’s industrial and agricultural future.
In Diamniadio, Solevo inaugurated a new fertilizer production unit, expanding local manufacturing capacity and offering tailored solutions for farmers. This move strengthens national food sovereignty and equips local producers to compete in a rapidly evolving market.
The second investment, inaugurated in Rufisque, consists of a solar power plant and upgraded operational facilities. The project highlights how renewable energy can support industrial performance while reducing the carbon footprint.
Beyond the projects themselves, the key takeaway is clear: local production and the energy transition are advancing together.
Initiatives like these strengthen Senegal’s agricultural and industrial ecosystem, support long-term growth, and help lay a foundation for a more resilient regional economy.
