MR Abdelmalek Kettani
Born on July 19, 1963 in Dakar, Senegal, Abdelmalek Kettani was raised in Casablanca and completed his primary and secondary schooling at "Lycée Lyautey".
After passing his Bac B (economic and social sciences) with "mention Bien" in 1982, he graduated in 1985 in Montreal from ''Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales’’ with a Major in International Finance and Marketing.The same year, he was immediately recruited by Gillette in London. In 1986, he became Brand Manager, before being promoted to Market Manager in Kuwait in 1987. Between 1988 and 1990, his career took off for the better at Gillette's Middle East headquarters in Dubai, where he was appointed as Director of Business Development for the region. (Regional Business Development Director).
In 1990, he returned to Morocco as General Sales Manager of Gillette for Morocco. Between 1993 and 1996, he was recruited as Administrator, Managing Director of one of the largest distribution companies of household appliances and consumer electronics in Morocco (RADELEC-SIERA; SOPAR Group) of which he ensures successful recovery and commercial and financial redeployment. In 1997, he developed an entrepreneurial project with partners from the United Arab Emirates. This company was sold to other shareholders in 2008. Since then, he has worked as a senior executive in large companies in Morocco (Palmeraie Development Group & Dalia Holdings), taught in private higher education (HEM; ESCA), and carried out multiple intra-company training missions in sales and marketing strategy. as a senior consultant. In parallel with his economic activities, Mr. Kettani was, for more than 20 years, very involved in Moroccan civil society and was President of the political advocacy NGO in Morocco, "Alternatives" which accompanied the transition from between 1996 and 2012 by organizing a multitude of debates, studies, and proposals, relating to the major issues of the country, both societal, economic, and even political, which animated, and which still animate the political scene in Morocco.
In addition, from 2004 to 2007, he was the founding president of the Social Responsibility Commission at the CGEM and he was also President of the Moroccan-American Business Council at the CGEM. (Moroccan employers).
In addition to his activities in civil society, Mr. Kettani has written regularly for years several political and economic columns in several national newspapers, and has participated in numerous programs and debates on radio and television on subjects political and economic.
In addition, he represented Morocco (CGEM) at several international conferences (World Economic Forum-Middle East in (Doha), European Business leaders conference (Helsinki), Fiftieth anniversary of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Kenya under of its activities within civil society.
In 2006, Mr. Kettani was invited by the US State Department to participate at Georgetown University in Washington DC in the prestigious "Global Leadership Seminar" which has brought together young leaders from political and civil society around the world.
In February 2016, he was appointed to the Council of Ministers, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, near the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and received his credentials from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God assist him, October 13, 2016 .
He took office in Abidjan on November 10, 2016 and presented his credentials to H.E President Alassane Ouattara on December 22, 2016.
Mr. Abdelmalek Kettani is divorced, father of 3 daughters and speaks French, English and Arabic fluently.
